[ The look on Cloud's face was one of shock when Ayaka presented him with his nice scooter. But that shock didn't slip away to disappointment that he wasn't getting a two-wheeled behemoth to tear apart highways with. No...seeing the bright look on Ayaka's face, the gesture wasn't lost on him. He still planned on getting a real motorcycle down the line. It's one of the things he was preparing for himself, but wasn't quite there funds-wise. So to have a scooter that would make travel much easier... No. Cloud isn't going to judge. Or care about anybody else judging him. Especially when knowing him? He damn well can make it work and even push it past its limits if he ever has to.

It's because of Ayaka that this birthday was as comfortable as it was. Even now, he smiles with a swell in his heart whenever he looks at the scooter. Day by day, the gifts she blesses him with only become sweeter. Even if the two were unsure about how things would go here in the Underground...

Some 'blessings' were meant to be savored differently. Another kind of sweet. And if they're here, Cloud might as well take a deep breath, calm down, and allow himself to loosen up just right for his girl. ]

Not gonna lie...the thought of tying you down... [ A beat. ] S'crossed my mind before.

Just. Not like this.

[ But she's right. They won't know until they try! And besides, if they get uncomfortable or too weirded out by it? They can just as easily get up (probably untie one or the other adfsjhkl) and mosey on out of there. She shyly tugs him, and he squeezes her hand right back, taking a bold step forward to stay side by side with her. She wouldn't have to worry about being a leader on this one. They'll tackle this together! The shop fronts look like they're almost bleeding into one another, and the two are too late to make it inside on the first batch of people who come through the front doors. It's not an absurdly long lineup, but as the two take their place in line, the nerves feel like they're continuing to build. Couples are whispering to one another, some sensual, other just ordinary everyday conversations like this was a natural occurrence for them.

Were Cloud and Ayaka this prudent? Or just that guarded about their own sex lives? Maybe they needed to turn invisible again DFJLSKHA ]
